E. Important for hospitals to have neonatal and obstetrician units and for pregnant women to be seen by these physicians
This topic interests me because in the future I would like to pursue a career in the field of nursing, specifically in neonatology and obstetrics. That is why I am exploring their importance and what is expected of these health care workers. In my paper I will delve into the educational requirements for neonatologists and obstetricians; common birth complications; and why these physicians are the most suitable for the prevention of birth complications and assistance in birth complications. One complication I have run into is finding information on the costs and funding for neonatal and obstretrical units. I do have an article that has information on the amount spent yearly on neonatal intensive care, but the statistic is dated 1988 so I cannot use it. I'm sure if I keep searching I will eventually find something more recent that will help me.
